Our story

Built by pediatricians who saw parents drowning in advice.

Baby Playbook started inside ParentMD, with pediatricians who kept hearing the same thing from new parents. There is too much information, and no way to tell what is safe to trust. The internet had endless answers. Almost none of them came from a pediatrician.

So we built the source we wished every parent had. Pediatrician-led, easy to understand, and there for the small questions and the scary ones alike. Our hope is simple. That "by ParentMD" becomes a mark you look for and trust, the same way you trust the name on your pediatrician's door.

Is Baby Playbook free?+
Yes. Baby Playbook is provided to families at no cost through participating health systems and employers.
How do I get access to Baby Playbook?+
Most families get Baby Playbook through a participating health system or employer, usually by scanning a QR code at a doctor’s visit or hospital discharge, or through a benefits link at work. If you have a code or an invitation, tap Sign Up to create your account. If your health system or employer does not offer Baby Playbook yet, contact us and we will point you in the right direction.
Can I use Baby Playbook before my baby is born?+
Yes. You can set up your profile with your due date and get ready with content about birth and the newborn stage. When your baby arrives, your guidance updates automatically to match their age.
What ages is Baby Playbook for?+
From the third trimester of pregnancy through your baby's first year, with guidance that grows as your baby does.
Who writes the content?+
Board-certified pediatricians. Five board-certified pediatricians lead our content team, every article carries the name of its reviewing physician, and all guidance is aligned with American Academy of Pediatrics recommendations.
Is Baby Playbook medical advice?+
No. Baby Playbook is education, not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always talk to your pediatrician about your child's health. If you think your child is having an emergency, call 911.
What is Playbook Chat?+
Playbook Chat is a conversational companion built into Baby Playbook. It answers your questions using only our pediatrician-authored content, not the open internet, so the answers stay grounded in guidance our medical team stands behind.
